Description

We are seeking to appoint a 2 highly skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology teachers to join both a Middlesbrough-based Academy and a Darlington school on a full time basis. The position is to support students across KS4 and KS5. You will be adept at coaching the students to oversee and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan, implement and monitor schemes of work, lesson plans and student learning
  • To ensure the Self Directed Learning philosophy of the school is present in the opportunities presented to the students
  • Use a wide range of resources and extracurricular activities to provide students with a broad range of activities and experiences in keeping with the School's guidelines
  • To set targets, based on prior attainments, and undertake effective, informative marking which will extend and develop all students
  • To keep appropriate records of progress and attainment of students for use in planning
  • Possess recent experience of teaching Food and Nutrition to KS4-KS5 students
  • Knowledge of GCSE/A Level Food Preparation and Nutrition exam specifications
  • To be considered for this Food Technology Teacher role you should have:

    - Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

    - The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

    - Strong subject knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum.
